Excerpts from the Schleis-Seigfried Reunion Cookbook

Strawberry Crunch

This Bake-Off entry was a cool winner for Michael Schleis,
and an amazingly easy one to throw together!

CRUST

2 1/2 c crushed pretzels

3/4 c melted butter

3 tbsp brown sugar

MIDDLE

8 oz cream cheese

1 c sugar

8 oz Cool Whip

TOP

6 oz. pkg strawberry Jello

1 lb. frozen strawberries

Mix crust ingredients until well combined. Spread on bottom of 9 X 13 cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Cool.

Mix middle layer ingredients until well combined. Spread on top of pretzel crust.

For the top layer, prepare Jello according to the package directions. Add frozen strawberries. Chill partially to set, then pour over top of cream cheese mixture in pan.

Chill to fully set the Jello. Top each serving with a dollop of whipped cream.
